We drove in from Margate and I managed to fill up the car and drop it off all without entering the Congestion Zone! Result.

Then we caught a London Black Cab and took in a show – “The Play That Went Wrong”.

Before the show we sat outside a wine bar with glass in hand and did a LOT of people watching. The one thing we noticed was the lack of high heels. Ladies… we’ve finally learned that they are just not comfortable! Out of the 1000s of feet we saw in that 30 minutes we saw 2 pairs of heeled boots – that’s it… and those ladies were struggling to walk upright.
You heard it here… Heels are out! Sneakers are in! Thank goodness.

The show was one we had actually seen years ago in Perth and thought it was great then, and there was nothing else we fancied seeing, so we saw it again. It was really well done.
Today we made our way to the Eurostar and then we were off on the start of Leg 2/4 – Amsterdam and the Danube River Cruise.

We arrived in Amsterdam and took a ride with the loveliest taxi driver who, after helping Me Jenny in an out of the van whispered to me, “I work with old people, so I know what to do.” Bless him. Jen was horrified.
We’re staying in a lovely hotel called Pulitzer. The hotel is set within twenty-five restored 17th and 18th century canal houses.

We had Italian for dinner and finished off the night with a cocktail before passing out – plumb tuckered from Leg 1.

We have one more day tomorrow by ourselves in Amsterdam before we board the Emerald River Ship.

Oh what a trip 💕 I’m very excited for the next chapter!!! ….. I’m desperate to do it ! I love your daily updates xxx
