I flung back my curtain to this scene this morning…
The choice for the day was between two big walking tours back to back and a bus ride in the middle or staying on the boat. We decided to stay onboard.
Then we sailed into Miltenberg where all the tours were starting from…
Then we sat on our balcony and watched everyone file into their 5 groups… 1-3 are normal paced, 4 is for the ‘gentle’ walkers and 5 was for those who were keen to hike up the hill after the walk. They were pretty evenly spread.
Then we relaxed on the boat (apparently with about 20 other people – not sure, we didn’t see them) and watched the world go by…
More lovely scenery, and more locks. Doesn’t this lock bolster look like a fairly surprised face?
Then we sailed on to Wertheim where the tour groups met up with us again. I heard 2 ladies talking over dinner saying that they were exhausted after such a massive day and that they wished they’d stayed onboard.
Decision justified!
