Today is our last day in Rapperswil-Jona, our last day in Switzerland and our last day in Europe!
The last few days the temp has plummeted and this morning we had to wear nearly everything we packed while we braved our last wander around town and walk along the lake in a top of 5℃.
She. Was. Brisk!
The last look out our lovely hotel window…
Past our last ancient buildings… I mean, 1630! Come on.
Into a lovely Christmas shop that hadn’t been open until this today. They sold the most random Christmas tree ornaments…
The into the lovely cafe right next to our hotel that we hadn’t had a chance to go to yet, (because we had been obsessed with Hintergass Cafe) where we finally got to try a traditional Swiss rosti.
Then we picked up our bags and reluctantly headed for the station, passing this very precise parking spot for busses. Only a certain percentage of bus should be on the curb at one time.
Then it was aufiderzein to Switzerland. Until we meet again.
Next stop… the shorts are coming out for Singapore and those shorts have an elastic waist, because… dumplings.
Fabulous trip Shell. Leaving at the right time……it only gets colder from now on and icy footpaths and snow not conducive to exploring anymore. Thanks for having us along.
