The great thing about travelling is you get to catch up with old friends along the way…
Fliss’ Aunty and cousin live here, so we caught up for a bit of lunch and an overdue catch up… we forgot to take a photo all together, but here are some pics from before lunch…

Our mate Penny, who now lives in Port Macquarie was a workmate of both Fliss and myself back in the hospitality days in Perth.
The lovely KerrieGeorge also made the journey up from Forster to spend one more night with us and to pursue her new found love of trivia. We headed to Panthers for what turned out to be a weird trivia night – 3 of the questions were “guess who is going to win this race”.
Penny and Kerrie had actually met before, at a NYE party at Fliss’ house about 1000 years ago, but funnily enough, none of us remember it…. welcome to your 50s.

The next morning, we took one last look around the Port and we were off to Tamworth to find the BIG guitar and maybe hear both types of music in the same place – country AND western.
As this is the koala corridor, there are a number of these painted koalas – just in case you don’t spot any in the wild.
