Our last stop before Fliss has to fly home. I’m not crying, you are. We’ve had such a terrific 2 weeks together. The perfect house guest for Fern’s maiden journey and I know in my heart that after she’s gone home, I’ll probably have scurvy before I get to Townsville.
The whole way up the coast we enjoyed rain and wind and some stormy weather, and we thought by choosing Burleigh Heads for our last stop we might escape some of the wetness. We were sort of right, but the ocean was still rough – the surfers were loving it… and the only thing we could do was sit and watch…. and walk – before we sat, we walked… a lot and then again after the sitting, there was more walking.

Our final dinner was at a lovely place in downtown Burleigh Heads called Maman Bar & Kitchen. Feasts with Felicity was hitting the town and Maman did not disappoint. The food was eaten way before I thought of taking a photo of it.
A lot of people on this trip have asked us if we are sisters, assumed that we are in a relationship, suggesting we sit at the bar for dinner so we can sit close and gaze at each other or just looked at us funny not knowing what’s going on… I say, let them wonder. Maybe after being so close for nigh on 100 years, you start morphing into one another…. I can’t see it myself, but I’ll take it for the massive compliment it is!

And just like that….. our 2 week journey has come to an end. I miss you already 🙁🩷
