I made it! Huzzah!

So Tam, Matt & Alara (I will refer to this family unit as M.A.T from now on) have been staying with one of Matt’s sister’s Aunty M and Uncle Scott who recently moved to T’Ville and have a backyard that appears as though it was specifically designed to have caravans and camper vans parked in a line.

Matt’s other sister, Jude flew up from Melbourne to share the weekend with their birthday having baby bro.

First stop of our tourist tour, we drove to the top of Castle Hill where the views were quite spectacular. Then we headed down to the Botanic Gardens as we’d been told there was a cool maze to check out.

Who remember’s the show Perfect Match with Greg Evens? The couples used to be sent to QLD islands for the weekend to see if they got on and I’m sure Magnetic Island would have been one of the destinations… it was also our destination – we boarded the ferry and had a very short, pleasant ride on a glorious day

We snagged two awesome apartments one above the other at Pepper’s right near the ferry terminal and immediately took advantage of the 2 balcony situation… leaves were collected and dropped from a great height as we filmed from below… it also highlighted that maybe Pepper’s needed a little gutter make over.

The balcony then transferred into a hair and nail salon just to get us all tizzied up for the birthday weekend.

Day 2: we caught the island bus and headed to Horseshoe Bay for a little look. There was a market and a lovely beach and a little strip of shops….
