Talk about saving the best for last.
This was the view from the top and it was a relatively easy walk down the steps.

Once you get down there though, take a right and head to the Spa Pool. I didn’t get any photos of the spa pool. It was a bit hard to capture from where we got in and also I needed two hands as I graciously dragged myself up on my tummy over the slippery rocks to get to the mouth. I did this while a lovely German man watched on offering assistance if it was needed. ‘Here if you need’

Then the best bit – we got into the main swimming spot and swam all the way down the gorge. Somehow we timed it so right so that there were people there when we arrived and one by one they all left so we had the place to ourselves. Then when we were ready to get out – more people arrived. Perfect.

Very pleased with ourselves.

Our tip… if you are travelling from the direction of the Eco Retreat and heading for Hamersley Gorge – go around the long way through Tom Price. We took the short cut and found ourselves travelling 50kms+ along a very corregated road and it added an hour on to the trip. On the way home, we went via Tom Price. It took the same amount of time on a much better road.
How pretty is Mount Bruce?
