More Falls…

Wangi Falls was amazing and had such a huge swimming area. Really easy to get into and big enough to cater for a huge crowd without being on top of each other.

We managed to snag a camp at these falls, so we got to have an early morning swim with nobody else around. Lovely.

Tolmer Falls is not one you can swim in, but there is a lovely look out – looking one way you see the single stream of water falling a long way down and the other the view is towards the vastness of the park.

Me Jen had always loved the Zebra Stone and there is a place in the park where you can see and purchase the stones mined by one family in the area.

I’d been thinking about creating a decal for Fern but wasn’t sure what I wanted, then we drove past these amazing ferns. I quite like how they’re hardy, but soft and willowy… Thoughts?

As we could only get one night at Wangi Falls we opted to stay at the Safari Park Camp, just near Wangi Falls. It’s a bit of a free for all – no marked out sites, you just park where you want. I’m not sure it works to be honest, but we found a spot near the lovely pool, as did ALL the kids who played a raucous game of MARCO! POLO! the whole time we were there…. at least their parents got a rest.

This lovely pup, Lottie came over for a visit. Came and said hello, then found a stick and brought it over to us for a game. When we didn’t immediately pick it up and throw it, he picked it up and moved it closer, probably thinking ‘these poor old ducks can’t reach’. We threw it a few times, then she just sat with us.

Next was the Greenant Creek walk – this one was a lovely walk through a rainforest before climbing up to the top of the waterfall to have a swim in the pool at the top. She was a moderate walk and well worth it.

How’s the difference between left and right of the path below.
